Fantastic, Corey! There are plenty of soups on the blog that are easy on the digestive syste, I hope you'll enjoy them. As for coq au vin, I have a red and white version - both of which are very popular. Laura has some very nice recipes as well, I remember watching her on Food Network Canada when I lived there. Met her once too!

I agree totally, since I had covid the things I use to eat are off the plate. I love french food because it is satisfying and I can make it nutrient dense if I want. I supplement with matcha, dandelion and chamomile teas and I am learning to make small tartines for small snacks to eat. Soups for me are a nutritional must, they are easy on my digestive system. I am also going to make poulet au paprika (laura calder) and maybe coq au vin. These are a few chicken dishes that I can eat. My diet consists mainly of greens vegetables, fish and occasionally some good beef (the beouf au daube was wonderful I still have some leftovers)

Thank you so much, Corey! I appreciate the support and hope that you'll enjoy the journey of trying all kinds of different recipes. One thing that really isn't talked about enough, is portion control. It's absolutely not an easy thing for any of us, but portion control is kind of part of our culture... Enjoy whatever you want, whether it's meats, fats, sugars etc... But just in moderation. It really does help, but sometimes you just HAVE to have a second serving :)

I'm making this next and a variety of french soup recipes. It is that time of the year and these soups go down so well with some fresh bread like in this recipe. Garlic is a powerful herb/vegetable for fighting colds and strengthening the immune system. I am ordering your cookbook and I am so totally into french cooking and eating small portions (i have the cookbook why french women don't get fat) It is all about rich food that is satisfying in small quantities.

The best for taste and good digestive health. If you want to do it exactly like us, provençaux, et according to our tradition, place the cheesy bread at the bottom of the bowls before pouring the aïgo on top of it. Encore meilleur! Miam!
