Hello, Lauren! Great question, and would totally depend on the size of your peaches. I would go with 3 most likely, since peaches almost always tend to be larger than plums. Also, try to use peaches that have a bit of softness to them, so they bake slightly jammy. Not super soft, but some give when pinched.

As I&#039;m sure you know, fruits always come in different sizes... So if you found that 4 plums wasnt enough, there is absolutely no issue with upping it to 5. In the end, food should be how you like it to be. I personally use 4 to 5 ripe plums (not very firm) and sliced thinly (at least 8 slices/plum) so they&#039;re more dispersed through the cake. Finding plums that aren&#039;t firm, but not soft either is the key!

What I would like is more fruit in the resulting cake, mine was much more sparsely fruited than the photo and a bit dry. I approximated 1 cup of sliced plums for the 4 plums indicated. For me it was not enough fruit, do you have an approximate measure for what the 4 plums is? I really appreciate that you have spent time in Canada, I&#039;m in BC, and reference the stores I know for finding products, and that the measures are in cups, etc like here.  I have other recipes from relatives in France and they are a bit trickier to navigate, eg &#039;cuilleres a soupe&#039;]]></description>
