Thanks for making me smile, Janine. A perfectly simple and delicious cake, no doubt. It's always a favorite to have around, especially when you need something quick for guests (or just to snack on by yourself - because why not!?)

Salut Audrey. This cake is so unbelievably light, citrus forward & easy to make when you need a treat for guests. I love it. I made it recently & it was devoured! Your recipes never fail me. Merci beaucoup!

Merci, Sara! I think it's absolutely possible to do that, but I unfortunately haven't tried it. I'd simply start checking the muffins after about 15-20min, and go from there. Not much else to change, in my humble opinion. Let me know if they work out, please :)

In reply to <a href="https://www.pardonyourfrench.com/lemon-poppy-seed-french-yogurt-loaf/#comment-60432">Pamela Stegmaier</a>.

So glad you enjoyed the recipe, Pamela! The addition/substitution of kefir sounds amazing, I love kefr. I might have to try that out myself :)

As for the addition of zucchini, I can see what you're looking to achieve and I think it could work, but it would definitely throw off the cooking time by a good amount. I definitely don't have sound advice for how much longer it'd need to cook, but zucchini always holds a lot of moisture, so at least 15min more to even start checking. If you do give it a try, I'd love to hear about the results!

I made this yesterday, and it came out picture perfect, just like the photos you posted. Because I am lactose intolerant, I replaced the yogurt with home cultured whole milk kefir. The crust & crumb is beautiful, the oven rise came high above the edge of the pan, it did not fall when cooling at all, I did have to bake just 5 minutes more for the toothpick to come clean. All in all, a very good bake! The next time I'd like to add shredded zucchini to the mix, do you think that would be OK without other changes?
