Thank you so much! A staple for apero, but good any time of day, honestly. So glad you enjoy it :)

In reply to <a href="https://www.pardonyourfrench.com/ham-cheese-and-olive-bread/#comment-72363">Sharon Kelly</a>.

Bon voyage, Sharon! Hope you'll have a fantastic time while you're here, and don't forget to try as many things as you can from local bakers! As for brands, it depends what you're looking to do. If you want to spend a little more for Bio products, Biocoop sells nice almond flours like Terra Sana or Pepite. Any grocery store will have the Vahiné brand, which is more cost effective and still tastes and performs absolutely great!

As for gluten free flours, you're going to find a very difficult time finding them as premade mixes here. Typically, they don't really exist as the flours here are not stripped of important nutrients, so many people find they can eat the flours here, but not in North America. Buckwheat and almond flours are the most common substitutes, but they're definitely not suitable for 1:1. In essence, I can't refer a brand to know, as I don't know any mixes that exist, but I'll have a look around and report back if I find one!

Has your friend been to France before? Has she tried eating the flour here? If not, she may very well be surprised.

Heading to Provence in 2 weeks. Want to make Cake Sale for apero. Do you have any recommendations for gluten free flour in France ? My friend is celiac.
Also, we plan to make your Almond Cake- what is a good make of almond flour ?
We are planning to make quite a few of your recipes. I’ll send pics of the finished dishes.
Merci beaucoup!

This came out really good. Delicious. The only slight changes that I made: I used 1 tsp of garlic powder instead of the herbs suggested and I used coconut oil instead of EVOO. Fantastic recipe. I'll definitely be making this again.

Absolutely, Carol! It's really a favorite here, especially when the weather turns nicer and we head out for long walks and/or picnics. It's equally as great for when guests come over to serve as little finger food. A very versatile little loaf... I hope you'll enjoy!

Loving the simplicity of this , it is just such a neat lunch idea. I don't like a lot of meat or cheese in sandwich so this solves that problem. Just butter this lovely bread and you're ready to go!
