Thanks Tom! It sure is a fun bread to make and eat. You could substitute fennel by aniseed, as it is very similar in taste. If you can&#039;t find fennel these days, simply leave it plain. I think it&#039;s delicious too! Thanks.]]></description>

					<description><![CDATA[Hi. I made this recipe a couple of days ago. A little overdone, but I am suspicious that my oven is about 25 degrees F higher than the setting. Anyway, it turned out pretty good, considering I don&#039;t yet have a lot of experience making bread from scratch, as opposed to a bread machine. I will not be going back to a machine ever now! It was fun eating the egg. Question: because of Covid-19 I did not have any fennel, so I substituted 1.5 tsp of cumin. Do you have any other suggestions for spices that could be used? Thanks! P.S. I would have uploaded a photo of my bread but I do not see that option here.]]></description>
