Hello, Dennis. I actually have a slow-cooker verison of this recipe, available <a href="https://www.pardonyourfrench.com/slow-cooker-beef-bourguignon/" rel="ugc">here.</a>

Whie it will miss some of the deep flavors of the original, due to the time and layering of ingredients, it's still very good! Hope you'll enjoy.

Sounds like the chef did an amazing job, Bert. Congrats! Nothing better than nailing a recipe that everyone enjoyed, and great call on a using a well marbled chuck roast. Perhaps you've found your new colder weather hosting dish :)

Audrey, I made the Beef Bourguignon, yesterday, for my family. It was a HUGE hit! I made a little more, as I fed 7.

I bought some American wagyu chuck roasts at our Costco. The marbling was throughout and I followed your instructions regarding searing to the letter. Fantastic!! At the end, I added a bit more seasoning and a few splashes of red wine vinegar.

This is one of the most delicious things I’ve made and the family couldn’t stop eating it.

Thanks, so much!! :)

Hello Bert! I personally always abide by the rule of "better to have too much, than too little". This stew also tastes amazing as leftovers and can even be frozen. The choice is, of course, yours... But nothing wrong with having a little extra stew for the next day or two, in my opinion.

Good luck and bon appetit!

Hi, Audrey. I’m planning on making the Beef Bourguignon, for my family, in a few weeks. There are 7 of us but my granddaughter doesn’t eat much. Should I double the entire recipe to ensure enough, or just some of the ingredients?

I love your recipes.

Thanks!

Love the advanced alcohol burning technique, Gary! I fear burning down my kitchen, but I love that you have the confidence to do it! As for point 2, great minds think alike... This Bourguignon absolutely tastes even better the next day!

I try to make this at least 3 times a year. The only things I do differently are 1. After adding the wine and beef broth, I pour an ounce or two of brandy into my ladle and rest it on top of the contents all ready in the pot to heat it, then light it off before pour it over the broth. And. secondly, I cool it after taking it out of the oven, cover it and refrigerate over night. Reheat gently and serve the next day.
